"Elliott Boston III has a message to deliver, and he's willing to shout it from the top of the world.
The 34-year-old Nixa resident wants to let kids know that any obstacle can be overcome, even if it is 20,000 feet tall.
Boston is trying to become the first black to reach the Seven Summits - the highest point on each of the seven continents.
He already has climbed his way to the highest points in South America, Africa, Europe and Australia and intends to achieve his goal in what could be a busy 2004 for the recently transplanted Southern Californian."

Local governments need more input into decisions that affect them, says Jean Crowder.
The recently-nominated federal NDP candidate for Nanaimo-Cowichan sees the problems first-hand as a city councillor for North Cowichan.
Though Crowder is relatively new to the political stage, she's been working behind the scenes for years.
She remembers her first campaign almost 30 years ago in Ontario when she was a university student. A friend invited her to help in a campaign, and she's been at it ever since."
